Nomansland and Bramshaw Cricket Clubs to merge

As most of you will be aware we have encountered a lack of players in the last couple of seasons which has threatened the future of the club.

To ensure the continuation of Cricket “on the green” talks have been ongoing with Bramshaw Cricket Club to merge the two clubs. Happily this was ratified at the recent Bramshaw Cricket Club AGM.

The merged Club will consist of three Saturday teams, with two playing at Bramshaw and the third at Nomansland. There will be two Tuesday teams with A playing at Bramshaw and the B at Nomansland. There will be a strong Nomansland flavour in the Captaincy of the new club with Gary Loveless in charge of the Saturday Seconds and Ian Loveless looking after the thirds, Terry Harrison will continue to catain the Tuesday B team.

We do hope that all Vie Presidents, players and other interested parties continue to support the merged Club. The new Club will cover a large triangle of the New Forest with Bramshaw, Nomansland and Landford villages involved. Bramshaw already run an Academy at Landford that attracted a large number of young cricketers to net sessions last summer, all looking good for the future!

It is hoped that there will be a couple of pre-season inter-club matches at both Nomansland and Bramshaw. More information will follow in due course.
