Lyndhurst and Ashurst 148-7 Nomansland 152-2
Nomansland finished their Tuesday season with a good display at home to Lyndhurst and Ashurst. The visitors elected to take first use of the facilities and assisted by a large number of extras posted a useful score of 148-7. Simon George (38), Sam Constable (22) and Simon Park (13) were the main contributors assisted by 32 extras. Sam Dempster (2-38), Terry Harrison (2-28) and Matt Rowland (1-33) were the wicket takers, assisted by two great pieces of fielding that ended with run outs.
Nomansland lost the disgruntled Sam Dempster in the opening over, but Laurence Harding and Will Hayward soon got the scoreboard flying along. The pair put together their second century stand in two games in just ten overs which included Hayward breaking a pavilion window in the process with a straight six. Hayward was eventually stumped for 38 with the partnership on 104, but this brought Terry Harrison to the crease and he set about the visiting attack with gusto, smacking four sixes and 3 fours in his 37 not out. Harding finished with an excellent unbeaten 69 as Nomansland won by eight wickets in the 14th over.
